Oonagh O’Donovan
Director of Strategy & Operations
Oonagh O'Donovan has been with OKC since 2020, where she serves as Director of Strategy & Operations. Oonagh brings over 10 years of experience in fundraising strategy, specialising in philanthropy, corporate partnerships, prospect research, and capital campaigns.
Her expertise spans a broad range of sectors, including arts, culture, heritage, health, education, human rights, and animal welfare. She has successfully managed portfolios of supporters ranging from €1k to €500k+, and has worked with clients to secure high-level sponsorships and values aligned and impact driven partnerships.
As a senior consultant, she leads OKC’s work with arts, culture, and heritage clients, including the Arts Council, where she project managed the RAISE programme until 2024, National Concert Hall, and the Natural History Museum. She has overseen multimillion-euro capital campaigns and has worked with OKC clients on capital feasibility studies and implementation strategies, including with South East Technological University (SETU) and Our Lady's Bower School.
Oonagh is also an expert prospect researcher, working with multiple OKC clients to identify qualified donor prospects by utilising OKC's DIAL model and conducting detailed, assiduous network mapping to enhance donor engagement and fundraising strategies.
Before joining OKC, Oonagh held key roles at leading arts organisations such as the Royal Court Theatre, where she served as Head of Corporate Partnerships, the Donmar Warehouse as their Capital and Corporate Development Manager, overseeing a £14m redevelopment capital campaign, whilst maintaining the corporate partnership portfolio of £1.5m and at The Public Theater in New York, where she was part of the Development team that raised over $4.5m through its 2016 Annual Gala, The United States of Shakespeare.
Oonagh also serves as Interim Fundraising Manager, working closely with the Dillon Quirke Foundation since 2022, supporting their corporate and philanthropic partnerships.
Oonagh holds a B.A. in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Strategic Management and Marketing from Technological University Dublin, where she graduated with First Class Honours. She delivered a research master's in not-for-profit fundraising capacity building, further enhancing her ability to support organisations in achieving their philanthropic and strategic goals.
